Peeling an egg can sometimes be quite frustrating, especially if it’s still warm and therefore half falling apart. But, don’t worry, thanks to this viral hack you will be spared that misery from now on.

It’s fast and spectacular: this special way of removing the eggshell from a hard-boiled egg. The user, Zach Craen, showed on TikTok how to do it and it immediately went viral. Although it does take some practice, we’re guessing. The brilliant trick has already been viewed tens of thousands of times.

Getting Started

Zach Crean knows what to do with a hard-boiled egg. He shows how he first makes a small hole in the eggshell at the top tip (narrower part) of the egg. Then he makes a slightly larger hole at the bottom (wider side) of the egg. Then Zach blows through the small hole with a strong breath and lo and behold! The shell breaks on its own. Keep your hands under the egg, so you can catch it in time. Do you dare to try?
